Nawilo Lantern · For construction teams
Every site, every day.
Lantern turns the photos, voice notes and messages your teams already send on WhatsApp into daily site reports, issue logs and progress that everyone up the chain can see, in their own language.

How it works
Teams send updates
Photos, short videos and voice notes go to your project’s WhatsApp number, in whatever language people speak on site.
Lantern sorts them
It transcribes and translates, then turns each update into progress, issues, delays, material requests or safety observations, linked to the original photo.
People check what matters
Your engineer approves the daily report. Every safety and delay item is reviewed by a person before anyone relies on it.
Everyone sees the same picture
Project managers, main contractors, consultants and owners see today’s progress and open issues, with the evidence behind them.
Built for how sites really talk
Daily reports in minutes
Lantern drafts the day’s report overnight from what was sent. Your engineer checks it and signs it off, in English and Arabic.
Every language on site
Voice notes in English, Arabic, Hindi, Malayalam and Russian, transcribed and translated, with the original kept.
Issues with proof
Snags and defects with the photo, location, responsible trade and due date, followed until they are closed.
Delays on the record
Delay events are captured the day they happen, so notices go out within your contract deadlines.
A timeline you can search
Every photo and update by area, date and trade. Pull the evidence for any floor or week in a few clicks.
Proof of work for payment
Progress and photos for the period, bundled to support your interim payment applications.
An official project record, not surveillance
Lantern only sees what people send to the project, and everyone knows it from their first message.
- Only updates sent to the project’s number or official groups
- Everyone is told first, in their own language
- Personal chats and phones are never touched
- No scoring or ranking of individual workers
- People review safety and delay items before they count
- Encrypted, with clear retention and deletion
Questions
Do our teams need a new app?
No. They keep using WhatsApp and send updates to the project’s number. Engineers and managers use Lantern in the browser.
Does Lantern read our existing WhatsApp groups?
No. Teams send updates to the project’s official number, and leads can use small official project groups. Lantern never reads personal chats or groups it was not invited into.
What about phone calls?
Voice notes work best: people choose what to record and Lantern turns them into the record. Calls on company lines can be added, always with a recording announcement.
Which languages does it understand?
English, Arabic, Hindi, Malayalam and Russian, with more, such as Urdu and Bengali, on request. Every item is available in English and Arabic.
Who is it for?
Fit-out, MEP and other subcontractors who report to main contractors and consultants, and the consultants and project managers who report to owners.
Let's start with how your sites report today.
The first conversation is about how updates, photos and reports move on your sites now, not a sales demo. We are looking for a small number of UAE fit-out, MEP and specialist contractors to shape Lantern with us.
